Our founding Directors have overseen some of the largest capital markets transactions in the region including the KPLC USD 317.5 million Capital Base Restructuring as well as playing a key role in Privatization and Capital Raising transactions totaling into Billions of dollars.
We have guided several transactions and expansion projects across East Africa and worked hand in hand with clients from Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania. This has provided us with a more global investor perspective.
We have an extensive growing network of investors we can leverage upon to ensure the success of any equity and debt financing.
To date we have helped bring to the Kenyan Fixed income market approximately 30-40% of all the Corporate Bond Issues in Kenya in the last decade in a Lead Advisory Role. Our most recent addition to the market was the Centum Real Estate Bond in December 2020. Currently, Private Wealth Capital has been mandated to source debt financing for several companies in Kenya and Ethiopia totaling up to USD 120 million. We act as a critical partner to institutions looking for debt.
Private Wealth was founded in 2010 where it initially started out as a fixed income trading house. Over the years, we grew to become among the top Fixed Income Investment Advisory and Debt Capital Market players for leading corporates and companies.
After a long era of serving institutions, we realized that there was a huge gap in the market: Private investors never had access to the same level of professionalism and expertise as institutional clients. We saw this and decided that we would be the ones to make that difference so that every single client we deal with, be it a corporate or an individual, they would get the same level of expertise, professionalism and service.
To make this possible, we got our Investment Advisory license which enabled us to provide the same advisory services that we had long offered to institutional clients. This was just the first step in our journey, a journey that culminated in our company being the first non-bank institution in the country to get an ASD License (Authorized Securities Dealer). This license enabled us to offer a whole array of new services to all our clients, from buying and selling all kinds of fixed income assets, be it government bonds or corporate bonds.
Now, we are on a new journey. A journey to transform the financial services sector in Kenya by providing better products, better services and extreme professionalism and expertise to not just institutional investors, but also individual investors and private clients.
